At Vion Food in the Netherlands, we are currently looking for Trainees with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree to join our Traineeship program starting on March 3, 2025. This program focuses on operations and supply chain.

What kind of projects could you work on?

• Redesigning low-volume production processes

• Digitalizing deboning activity line lists

• Improving and optimizing primary and secondary product presentation with positive financial impact

• Developing a concept for by-product processing

• Streamlining goods flow optimization

• Analyzing pig quality parameters to organize farmers for pig valorization

Together with other Trainees from diverse educational backgrounds, you will participate in a 1.5-year Traineeship program at Vion. This program offers you:

• Practical experience across various departments and divisions at Vion.

• The chance to work on multiple 4-month projects with intensive guidance from senior internal mentors while taking ownership of your learning process.

• Theoretical modules to prepare you for key roles at Vion, such as change management, project work, and communication techniques.

• Training sessions on relevant and current topics in the meat industry and within Vion, including LEAN management, quality systems, and animal welfare.

• Personal development support through a tailored development plan, guided group sessions with fellow Trainees, and peer support.

• After 1.5 years, you will have a clear understanding of your knowledge and skills, giving you the opportunity to take on an exciting role at Vion.

What we expect from you?

You should have:

• A completed Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

  • Supply Chain Management

  • Business Analytics and Operations Research

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Sustainable Innovation

• A maximum of 2 years of work experience.

• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus.

• Flexibility to work on various projects across departments and locations, such as valorization, quality management, and master data management.

• A driver’s license.

• Openness to challenging yourself professionally and developing further.

• A willingness to think beyond conventional solutions.

• A 1.5-year contract.

• A gross monthly salary of €3,179.01 plus 8% holiday allowance.
