100 years ago, a group of farmers decided to work together to be stronger and together founded Vion. Today, we work together with more than 11,000 employees and 55,000 farmers to provide food to more than 100 million people every day. Together, we remain strong to deliver Food that Matters. Our goal is to shape the food sector, together with all our partners in the chain, and to be the most sustainable meat company in Europe by 2030.

Today, we operate in a global market and our planet is threatened by overuse of natural resources. Our Food that Matters strategy emphasises that food choices are not only about taste, but also about people, the planet and society as a whole. We focus on sustainability, ethical sourcing and social responsibility. Our food is not only tasty, but also comes from chains that meet our customers' needs, offer fair incomes to farmers and partners, respect animals and people, and set standards for reducing environmental impact.

To deliver 'Food that Matters', we have and will continue to establish integrated chains that do not put undue pressure on our natural resources. These chains are our path to more sustainable food production, and we are committed to achieving this goal.
