At Vion Retail Netherlands, with over 80 shops spread across Nettorama and Boni, we go beyond simply delivering high-quality, tasty and fresh products. We understand that it is essential to not only meet but exceed consumer needs. We form an integral part through the shop-in-shop principle, with our branches within these well-known supermarket organisations acting as artisanal fresh food departments.

Shop-in-shop concept

Within the shop in shop concept, Vion supplies a.o. (pre-packed) meat, meat products and vegetable products to all Nettorama and Boni shops in the Netherlands. Vion Retail Netherlands executes a concept in the supermarket chain in which our own specialised staff is responsible for cutting, weighing, marinating and packaging the products. Vion Retail Netherlands thus manages the Fresh category within the Nettorama and Boni supermarkets and thus now offers customers the opportunity to obtain customised products. The products are supplied by various Vion locations.   

More than just sales

Our role goes beyond the sale, preparation and packaging of protein-rich products, ranging from meat and charcuterie to fish, cheese and veg products. We not only want to supply products, but also share insights and work together to optimise shop assortments. Within Vion Retail Netherlands, we understand that every shop offers a unique opportunity to provide consumers with an unforgettable culinary experience.

With all our 80-plus stores, we have a wide reach and the opportunity to be in close contact with consumers. We constantly strive to identify trends, understand consumer behaviour and innovate our products and processes. All with the aim of working with retailers to put together the optimal assortment that seamlessly meets consumers' ever-changing needs.

Our brands & concepts



Results achieved

World-renowned market research organisation GfK, in its Christmas Report 2022, rated Nettorama as the best regional supermarket with a score of 7.89. In second place is supermarket Boni, with a score of 7.86.

Twice a year, GfK measures the rating of Dutch supermarket formulas. This leads to the GfK summer report and the GfK Christmas report, which Distrifood (Dutch news website about the food industry) publishes. This year, 'price' played an important factor for consumers. Never before have customers found price-quality so important as now.
